At Spenser's Heart Children's Charity we are always looking for volunteers. If you have a heart for children and want to be a part of an exciting and very needed organization, then we want you. We provide training for those working directly with the children and mileage for some positions. Check out the positions below and complete a Volunteer Application, we will find a position that fits. Lego Room Representative
A Lego Room Representative serves as a representative of Spenser’s Heart Children’s Charity in supporting the Organization’s mission of supporting children dealing with traumatic life events.
A Lego Room Representative represents the Organization by supporting a specified child who is attending the Lego Room. A Representative is assigned to one day per week for a minimum period of three months.
A Finance Committee Member serves as a representative of Spenser's Heart Children's Charity in supporting the Organization on a committee which is essential to the running and operating of the Organization. The Finance Committee drafts the annual budget and proposes it to the Board of Directors, as well as assists in seeking and obtaining Financial Sponsors.
Members of the Financial Committee are asked to make a commitment of a one year minimum.
As a Lego Room Supervisor you will serve as a representative of Spenser's Heart Children's Charity in supporting the Organization by supervising in the Lego Room. You must be a licensed Social Worker, Child and Youth Worker or a Mental Health Worker.
You will advise and assist the Board of Directors in properly training the Lego Room Representatives. You will be asked to be in the Lego Room a minimum of one day per week for a one year term.
A Fundraising Committee member serves as a representative of Spenser's Heart Children's Charity to the public by raising the funds needed to operate the Lego Room and run the Organization.
A Fundraising Committee Member is assigned for a specific fundraising event which could be for a period of up to six months.
A Driver serves as a representative of Spenser's Heart Children's Charity to the public by picking up and dropping off families that use the Lego Room, whom would have no other way to get there. Drivers are asked to keep track of their mileage and submit for reimbursed. Drivers are required to provide a copy of their driving record and insurance as well as a police records check.
As a Board Member of Spenser's Heart Children's Charity you will oversee all operations of the Organization. You will work with Committee Chairs to ensure that all areas of the Organization are operating in the best interest of the Organization and according to our purposes as stated in our Letters Patent.
Board Members are asked to make a committment of a one year minimum.
